CONTRACT AND CO-OWNERSHIP AGREEMENT SHOW BITCH, DOG OR PET

The sale of dogs is subject to consumer protection regulations. Florida law also provides safeguards to protect pet dealers and animal purchasers. FL Statutes, Sec 828.29

SHOW DOG GUARANTEE

The show potential dog is an adult dog or pup that is above and beyond the definition of a pet dog. This dog is not guaranteed to win in the show ring but with proper care on the part of the Buyer, the dog should be of acceptable temperament, structure and meet the basic standard of the breed.

1. The dog is purebred and pedigree is correct as given at the time of the sale. Dog is registerable with AKC.
2. This animal is guaranteed for 30 days at the option and expense of the Buyer. If the dog if found to be unsatisfactory, the Seller shall refund 100% of purchase price provided living dog and registration papers are returned to the Seller. The Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with returning the dog to the Seller.
3. This animal has the following know health problems: –None–
4. This animal is guaranteed to be free of hereditary crippling/disabling defects apparent by 1 year of age. Determination of a hereditary crippling/disabling defect is to be by the agreement of two veterinarian chosen and agreed to by both parties. At least one veterinarian is to be a tenured faculty member of an accredited university veterinary teaching hospital of Board Certified in the applicable specialty. Cost of the opinions will
be assumed by the Buyer. Choice of remedy is at the Buyer’s option (a. or b.) at the time
of sale.

a. Refund of 100% provided the living dog and its registration papers are returned,

b. Seller will pay veterinary bill for treatment of said defect not to exceed the purchase price of the dog.

5. Buyer agrees to: Annual veterinary checkups, including heartworm, immunizations and to have this dog micro-chipped prior to 6 months of age.
6. Buyer agrees for the first 7 years to obtain annual eye exams for this dog and provide the breeder with a copy of the results.
7. Buyer Agrees to attend puppy dog obedience, socialization or conformation classes within the first 6 months.
8. Seller has right of first refusal should the Buyer decide to sell or dispose of this dog.

CO-OWNERSHIP AGREEMENT

Ownership of the dog is to be in the names of both Buyer and Seller until the terms of this agreement have been fully satisfied and the Release Option of this statement is signed by both parties. Cost for the initial AKC co-ownership transfer will be paid for by the Buyer.

The following conditions will be agreed to by the Buyer:
1. This animal will not be spayed or neutered.
2. Buyer will be responsible for the day to day care including all expenses.
3. Upon satisfaction of this agreement, Buyer agrees to have the animal spayed or
neutered. Upon receipt of a copy verifying the alteration, Seller agrees to release to
Buyer sole ownership. Cost for the AKC transfer will be paid by the Buyer.

CO-OWNERSHIP SHOWING RIGHTS

1. Buyer agrees to make every effort to show this to its AKC Breed Championship.
2. If Buyer chooses not to show this dog, Seller reserves the right to show this dog until it has earned its AKC Breed Championship. Buyer agrees to assume all costs and responsibilities for show entries, professional handling services, training classes, transportation, food and lodging associated with showing the dog.
3. Buyer agrees to hold Seller harmless against loss or injury to this dog while dog is in
Seller’s possession.

CO-OWNERSHIP BREEDING

Buyer agrees to not breed this dog until its AKC Breed Championship has been completed.
1. Buyer agrees to release to Seller pick puppy from the bitch’s first litter. The stud dog will be made by mutual agreement of both parties. Seller agrees to make her pick prior to the puppies reaching 8 weeks of age.

FAILURE TO COMPLY
Failure to comply with any of the stipulations in this agreement may result in the Seller taking full and permanent possession of this dog. Buyer will relinquish possession and release their ownership interest in this dog with their signature on the AKC papers.

CO-OWNERSHIP AGREEMENT RELEASE
The Seller and Buyer agree that the terms of this Co-ownership Agreement have been fulfilled. Buyer has 90 days to provide evidence to the Seller the dog has been spayed or neutered.
Failure to do so will negate this Agreement Release and may be seen as FAILURE TO COMPLY.

COMPANION DOG GUARANTEE

“Companion Dog” means this animal is sold as pet rather than for show or breeding purposes. The dog is purebred and the pedigree is correct as given at the time of sale. The dog may be registered with AKC.

1. This Pet is guaranteed for 30 days at the option of the Buyer. If the dog is found to be unsatisfactory, the Seller will refund 100% of the purchase price less the initial deposit of
, provided the living dog in the same condition as it was sold and registration papers are returned to the Seller. The Buyer assumes all expenses in returning the pet to the Seller.

2. This Pet has NO KNOWN health problems.

3. This animal is guaranteed to be free of hereditary crippling/disabling defects apparent by 1 year of age. Determination of a hereditary crippling/disabling defect is to be by the agreement of two veterinarians chosen and agreed to by both parties. At least on

COMPANION DOG ALTERATION AGREEMENT

I, agree to have this dog spayed or neutered between the ages of 6 months and 9 months. The AKC registration form will be held by Seller until a statement verifying the alteration from the veterinarian performing the surgery is received. Failure to have the dog altered with the agreed time period will void all guarantees after one year of date of sale and Seller reserves the right to take full and permanent possession of this dog.
